Hackathons

Hoo-Hacks: My team and I worked on design a website to function as a cross between Zoom and Social Media. Part of the design was meant to function similar to Netflix Party. One would be able to have a video chat going with their friends, but also sharing their screen/a video, so to allow people to both chat and watch something together. Sharing your screen would not stop one from also showing themselves. Our Project was called SchoolShare. It was Implemented with HTML-5, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, mySQL, Ajax, and Node.js

VT-Hacks 7: My team and I designed an supervised classifier to analyse and detect if an audio file was authentic, or was deep fake. It was implemented using Pandas, Numpy, SKLearn, Pickle, and Librosa. We had an over 80% confidence interval. It was only design for vocal audio, not music or instruments. We hope to be able to expand it in the future to include video and image classification, as well as expand beyond just vocal audio.

SheHacks: My team and I came in third place with a supervised Convolutional Neural Network that we trained to recognize the American Sign Language (ASL) alphabet. The CNN was created with the help of TensorFlow API and Keras. Utilizing OpenCV, we worked to isolate ones hand from the background and feed the isolated image to the AI so as to allow it to categorize it.

Microsoft Azure Hackathon: My team and I worked to design a application to inform you when your bus for the Blacksburg Transit is meant to arrive, so one does not need to keep checking the time and arrival of the bus. It would also recommend a bus stop location for one to go to to get to their intended location.

The Raytheon Fellowship works with the HUME center for National Security and Technology.

With the Fellowship, skills with Linux and knowledge of Cyber Security from encryption to networking will be learned.

PepsiCo.

I worked at PepsiCo. From the end of spring to start of summer of 2018 as

part of an internship program my high school performs for Seniors at the

end of the year.

I was working with the Industrial Engineering team, where the majority of

my time was spent in the lab collecting and recording data as well as

checking for conflicting data reports.

In the winter of 2018 I returned to PepsiCo and worked with the

Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager. I performed a variety of

tasks including working to standardize documentation.

Barista

PART-TIME JOBS

I worked at Tazza Cafe in Ridgefield CT. for over 2 years. Working often 15-25 hours a week if not more. I also returned for the summer of 2019 to work for the summer months.

In the job, we performed a variety of tasks. We worked the cash register, managed the money, including the safe the store keeps. We also made, prepared and served food to the customers as well of course as making and serving a variety of drinks.

Babysitting

Babysat for 2 years during my high school tenure.

The tasks entailed helping the children with there school work, transporting them to and from extra curricular activities, as well as preparing and serving dinner.

The ages ranged from 6 to 13 years of age
