Teaching

Mathematics is a beautiful subject that I love to teach. In  every class I strive to impart my enthusiasm for mathematics to all of my students. Further, I believe the best learning occurs when students interact with content in a variety of ways, and because of this I use a mix of teaching modalities: peer-to-peer learning activities, flipped classroom, active lecture, etc. My goal is to create a comfortable and failure-tolerant environment in the classroom.

During the 2023-2023 academic year, I taught:

At Oberlin College I taught:

At Binghamton University, I was instructor of record for:

Before going to Binghamton University, I taught at Roanoke-Chowan Community College in Ahoskie, NC, and before that I was a graduate teaching assistant at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA  as well as Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. The courses I variously taught and TA'd are:

While at WFU, I worked as a tutor in the WFU Math Center. Similarly, during my undergraduate degree at Berry College in Mt Berry, GA I worked as a tutor in the Math Lab.

Additionally, for the last ten years I have taught during summers at the  Governor's School of North Carolina, a residential program for academically gifted high school students in the state of North Carolina. Over the years I have taught courses on mathematical foundations, group theory, ring theory, and graph theory.
