About me
I am a psycholinguist and cognitive neuroscientist, working as a postdoc in the Speech Perception in Audiovisual Communication lab (Donders Centre for Cognition, PI: Hans Rutger Bosker). I am interested in how we exploit internal (linguistic) representations (e.g., frequency of occurrence, predictions) and external cues (e.g., gestures) to effortlessly decode the speech produced by our interlocutor. To address this fascinating research question, I employ behavioural measures (e.g., RTs, 2AFC and visual analog scale judgments), neuroimaging techniques with high temporal resolution (Electroencephalography - EEG) and neurostimulation methods (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation - TMS, Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation - tDCS), also simultaneously (e.g., TMS-EEG).
