Here you will learn all of Matteo's personal cypher setups and variations on all maps. Before we start, we have to understand the purpose of cypher as a agent. The purpose of cypher is to hold space and get info within that space. The purpose of tripwires are to secure kills by holding choke points such as entry points to sites, or getting info on lurks, as well as holding flank. ALWAYS TRIP FLANK, when tripping flank make sure your crouching and the trip line is near the top of your screen. The purpose of cages or cypher smokes, are to secure 1v1 fights, make 1 ways(you can make one ways on the spot if there is a ledge on top of a entry way), tell if enemies are in the cage or in a smoke by placing it in a smoke and listening for the sound cue, and finally playing inside of them. The camera is used in a way to get info without physically peaking. The ultimate is used for securing info on rotations, lurks, or enemy positions on retake. NOTE: These setups can be tweaked to your personal liking, so you can change a cam position or trip position based on enemy playstyle.
The best cypher cam for ascent, securing top mid, bottom mid, pizza, spawn lurks, and catwalk. I recomend using this cam every round, but you can use the displayed cams on each setup if you want.

When they hit trips pop cage and shoot the enemy through smoke. If you are smoked off, don't pop cage, just shoot them through smoke.
A cypher setup designed to secure kills for A site. Most often used when they are shock darting the unbreakable trips. With many positions to play in, such as dice, tree door to spam through when smokes, heaven, generator, hell, and even close right by boxes. When they hit trips pop cage and shoot the enemy through smoke. If you are smoked off, don't pop cage, just shoot them through smoke.
A cypher setup designed to secure kills off trips. With 4 main positions to play being: market, ct, stairs, and lane. CT and market are personal favorite positions because they smoke you off so you don't need to expend cages.
You can get creative with cameras on attack. If you are pushing mid, cam mid. Its pretty simple.
1 way off heaven then trip to cover heaven. You can stand boxes to spam off one way, then go hell to wallbang off trip. Put cam to cover heaven.
Trip to cover all of front site and play main. Cage tree to allow teamates to easily to get on and off site for postplant.
When pushing site, cage market and put a unbreakable trip down. Then quickly run site to play wallbang.
When you have site, trip stairs or lane. Cage your trip, and play backsite to play time. These trips are for info, and kills.

This cam sees all of mid, But you have to wait for the round to start to place it.
This setup stops lurks and secures kills. Secures kills by spamming from heaven, bridge, or backsite.

Secures kills by spamming from heaven or backsite.
More risky more rewarding setup compared to #1. Secures kills by spamming from heaven or backsite.
Trip for flank and spam tripwires to hold default
Trips for flank. You can sacrifice 1 trip if you want one to use on site.
A short heavy setup leaving showers to be aggressed by teamates. Positioning should be U-hall or triple.
A balanced setup holding lurks from short and showers. Use same camera as #1
A setup to stop quick pushes onto site with a cam designed to spot long without a teamate.
A setup for picks from elbow. Change to this setup if they got used to trips.
Place this trip to stop flanks from A to B and B to A. Does not hold spawn flank. Place extra trip spawn side if they are flanking from spawn.
This is the right place to place if they are flanking through spawn.
My go too setup for A site. Usually just spam default through smoke and off trips. Also trip halls, otherwise your team might get mad.
If you don't want a hall trip you can take the trip and make this double trip setup.
Play half wall, or backsite, and spam them when they hit trip.

Catch enemy rotations through mid
Buy 1 trip, 1 cage, ghost. Hug barrier, place trip as soon as barrier drops. Pop cage and kill them as soon as they hit trip.

When pushing B on haven use A and C flank trips at the same time, and have a teamate lurk garage. You can lurk garage if you want. Also you will have 1 leftover trip when pushing A and C. In this case trip ct or garage or heaven.
Buy 1 trip, 1 cage, ghost. Hug the barrier and as soon as it drops place trip. When they hit trip, pop cage and kill them.
I don't recommend going any other site but C. But if you have to, this is the recommended setup. Play backsite, or stairs. Put cam anywhere.
Trip B. Play bend to spam off trips. If you have a odin you can also wallbang bend.Â
The good thing about lotus is, you can make very strong trips that dont make much sense.
Use 2 trips to hold all flank on all sites.

Play dugout and wallbang with odin. Or play backsite and shoot them through cage.
