Who We Are...

Mattawan Youth Cheer is a cheer team comprised of athletes grades 3-7. We participate in community events like the homecoming parade, and cheer at football games for the Mattawan Youth Football program.

Mattawan Youth Cheer was created in 2018. Our mission is to share a passion for the sport of cheerleading with young athletes in our community. We participate in community events like the homecoming parade, and cheer at football games for the Mattawan Youth Football program.

We focus on...

• teaching fundamentals of the sport of cheer
• promoting physical and mental development for youth athletes
• encourage and promote school spirit and community involvement
• sportsmanship and teamwork
• preparing athletes for participating in sideline and competitive cheer at the middle school and high school level
