M. Dara Alavi ( AL-uh-VEE )
is a Los Angeles based writer, director, editor, and animator who started indepently in stop-motion animation, moving onto special effects production, and later into VFX and design. Alavi has served on production teams at some of the most celebrated creative studios in the world including Emmy-winning Legacy Effects, The Mill and Imaginary Forces. His 2026 short film BAD TOOTH is currently screening in festivals around the world.
