About activities in Matsuda Lab

Our lab will produce research results on the themes of water and light to address climate change. Simultaneously, we aim to enhance essential social skills such as 'critical thinking,' 'presentation skills,' and 'communication skills.'

After the assignment, there will be weekly joint seminars with other laboratories and research meetings once a week. In the joint seminar, students present their graduation thesis plans or results and introduce relevant English papers. At the research meeting, immediately after the assignment, you learn about presentation design in parallel with discussing your research topics. Subsequently, you will learn how to search for and read papers relevant to your research topics. Eventually, I hope you will find and read more and more on your according to your themes. I believe that the preparation period (review of previous research) is essential to make a better research plan.

Depending on the research progress, you will present the results at academic or international conferences and write papers. To achieve this, we foster an environment of mutual respect, encourage active discussions, and strive for a laboratory atmosphere where everyone enjoys engaging in research activities.
