Matic Petriček

I am a researcher at the Analysis and Research Department at the Bank of Slovenia.

I am a graduate of the European University Institute under the supervision of prof. Juan Dolado and prof. Árpád Ábrahám. The focus of my research is with regards to empirical banking. My work focuses on the effect of institutional arrangements and regulation on bank behaviour and further on the macroeconomic outcomes. Before PhD I worked at the Financial Stability and Macroprudential Policy department at the Bank of Slovenia. In 2017-2018 I was a consultat at the European Investment Bank involved on a STAREBEI grant project of assessing the impact of EIB lending on the performance of SMEs.
