I am an Assistant Professor at the Facultad de Ingeniería of Universidad San Sebastián in Santiago, Chile, a position I have held since April 2024.
Previously, I held several postdoctoral positions. From 2019 to 2022, I worked at the Centre des Mathématiques Appliquées (CMAP) at École Polytechnique, in the Mécanique, matériaux et optimisation de formes (MMOF) group, as part of the SOFIA (SOlutions pour la Fabrication Industrielle Additive métallique) project, under the supervision of Grégoire Allaire. In 2017, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Centre for Biotechnology and Bioengineering (CeBiB) at Universidad de Chile.
I earned my Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics & Mathematical Modelling in 2016 through a joint program between the Departamento de Ingeniería Matemática at the Universidad de Chile and l'École Doctorale MITT "Mathématiques, Informatique, Télécommunications de Toulouse" at the Institut de Mathématiques de Toulouse (IMT) at the Université Toulouse III – Paul Sabatier, under the supervision of Carlos Conca and Fabien Caubet. I also hold a degree in Mathematical Engineering from the Universidad de Chile.
I am passionate about using mathematics to address real-world challenges. Much of my work focuses on industrially inspired problems where mathematical insight can make a tangible impact.
