More complex topics may require scheduling a tutoring session
PoliciesPayment Payment is due at the beginning of a session. Accepted payment methods include Venmo, Zelle, cash, or check.
Attendance, Cancellations & Rescheduling A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations whenever possible. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice may still be charged the full session amount. No-shows or arrivals more than 10 minutes late without notice will be charged as a full session. You may always choose to switch an in-person lesson to virtual. Sessions may be rescheduled when possible but it is not always guaranteed.
Session Length Sessions end at the scheduled time regardless of late arrival to ensure fairness to all students and families.
Location Sessions take place at the local library or online in a quiet, structured learning environment. Parents may drop off students or remain in the library during sessions. In-home tutoring is available through the Premium Package.
Session Structure Each session includes: review of current coursework, targeted instruction, guided practice, and a brief recap with next steps
Materials Students should bring all relevant math materials, including homework, notes, and tests, to ensure instruction aligns with their teacher’s methods. Additional practice materials may be provided as needed.
Parent Communication Parents receive a brief update after each session outlining progress and focus areas. Ongoing communication is welcome via email during business hours.
Holidays & Closures No sessions are held on major holidays. A holiday schedule will be shared in advance.
Policy Updates Rates and policies are subject to change with at least two weeks written notice.
Qualifications:
B.S. in Math Education
Certified Teaching License
3+ years experience tutoring math grades 6 and up
Proven success building confidence and conceptual understanding
