Right now, I'm writing up some work from my time at the Mittag-Leffler Institute. I'm also participating in the Adjoint School this year. I am on the job market for postdoctoral and permanent positions, beginning in fall 2026.
I’m Adina (Goldberg), a quantum mathematician, educator, and canoeist, not necessarily in that order. Also now a mama! The meaning is in the arrows can be interpreted as a mathematical motto, an educational motto, a canoeing motto, and even a personal/parenting motto. Ask me how!
You may be visiting me here because of shared research interests, maybe for educational purposes, or maybe because you want to know what kind of things go through my head. Maybe you are doing a background check, in which case here is my CV and a career timeline. Maybe I took you on a canoe trip once and you saw I had a website. Maybe you consider yourself to be non-adjacent to math and wonder what I do, in which case check out this video where I talk about my journey to my current work.
As of summer 2026, I am based in Toronto, Canada.
In Spring 2026, I completed a Junior Fellowship of the Mittag-Leffler Institute's program Operator Algebras and Quantum Information, in Stockholm, Sweden. In Fall 2025, I taught math and science at an independent school in Vancouver. I defended my PhD thesis in Spring 2025 at the University of Waterloo in the Pure Math department, advised by Michael Brannan. I was also affiliated to IQC.
