Dr. Azizul Hoque

Dr. Azizul Hoque earned his M. Sc. degree in Pure Mathematics from Gauhati University, Guwahati, in 2008 and then he did his M. Tech. degree from Tezpur University, Tezpur, in 2011. Dr. Hoque earned his Ph. D. in Pure Mathematics from Gauhati University, Guwahati, in 2015 under the supervision of Prof. Helen K. Saikia. He has also qualified CSIR-UGC NET/JRF and GATE.
Dr. Hoque was a Post-doctoral fellow at Harish-Chandra Research Institute, Allahabad during March 04, 2016-November 02, 2019, and a visiting Post-doctoral Fellow at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai during December 12, 2019-June 12, 2020. Dr. Hoque also worked at Regional Institute of Science and Technology, Meghalaya and at University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya an Assistant Professor. Dr. Hoque was associated with Gauhati University Institute of Scinece and Technology, Guwahati, and IDOL, Gauhati University, Guwahati during the period October, 2012-February, 2016.
Recently, Dr. Hoque has visited the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, Northwest University, China, Shangluo University, China, Weinan Normal University, China, Shaanxi Normal University, China, Shandong University, China, Mahidol University, Thailand, Mandalaya University, Myanmar, The National University of Laos, Laos etc. and has delivered colloquium(s) there. He has also delivered many invited talk in national and international conferences.
The broad research area of Dr. Hoque lies in Algebraic Number Theory. His research interests include class groups of numbers fields, Diophantine equations, elliptic curves, zeta values and related topics. He has published a considerable number of papers in national and international SCI journals. He has published a couple of books/edited books under the banner of Springer, Singapore. Dr. Hoque was involved in a number of conferences and has received numerous national and international grants for research activities.

Dr. Saswati Purkayastha

Dr. Saswati Purkayastha did her M. Sc. degree in applied mathematics from Gauhati University, Guwahati in 2009. After that she completed her M. Phil. degree from Gauhati University, Guwahati in 2010 under the guidance of Prof. Rita Choudhury. Dr. Purkayastha obtained her Ph. D. in Fluid Dynamics from Gauhati University in 2015 under the guidance of Prof. Choudhury. She has also qualified SLET(NE).
Before joining this department, she worked in IDOL, Gauhati University and Pragjyotish College, Guwahati as an Assistant Professor.
Dr. Purkayastha's research interest covers Fluid Dynamics and related areas. She has published several research paper in reputed national and international journals. Dr. Purkayastha presented her research work in many national and international conferences.

Ms. Parishmita Boruah

Ms. Parishmita Boruah completed her M. Sc. degree from Tezpur University, Tezpur in 2017, and she earned her M. Phil. degree from Dibrugarh University, Dibruagarh in 2019. She has qualified SLET (NE). Currently Ms. Boruah is pursuing her Ph. D. from Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh under the guidance of Prof. Surajit Borkotokey.
Ms. Boruah worked in the department of mathematics, Dibrugarh University as an Assistant Professor during February 21, 2019--October 29, 2020.
The research area of Ms. Boruah includes Cooperative Game Theory and Network. She has published numerous research papers in well established journals. She has attended several national and international conferences, and also presented her research work there.
