Do No Harm: Safety Tips for Outreach Programs

Dr. Brandy's Math Circle Emergency Planning Checklist:

• Have a well ­stocked box of Math Circle supplies on hand
• Have a lesson plan in your back pocket in case your session leader does not show up
• Bring snacks that your students are not allergic to and a lot of hand sanitizer
• Develop and collect well­ planned Circle participant paperwork
• Announce and reinforce procedures for adults working with students
• Plan online publicity plans that account for the age of your students
• Create a site specific emergency plan.
