MathOwl is developed by Hasan Gürbüz. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, how it is handled, and what choices users have.
Information We Collect
MathOwl does not require users to create an account and does not directly collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, photos, location data, or other personal information.
The app may store game-related information locally on the user’s device, such as scores, streaks, hearts, boosters, completed levels, app preferences, and widget data. This information is used only to run the game experience.
Game Center
MathOwl uses Apple Game Center for leaderboards. If the user chooses to use Game Center, Apple may process the user’s Game Center profile, scores, and related leaderboard information according to Apple’s own privacy policy.
Advertising
MathOwl uses Google AdMob to show ads, including rewarded ads. Google may collect and process data such as device information, advertising identifiers, app interactions, approximate location, diagnostics, and ad performance information to provide, measure, and improve advertising.
Users can manage ad tracking permissions through iOS Settings. If tracking permission is not granted, advertising may still be shown, but it may be less personalized.
In-App Purchases
MathOwl offers in-app purchases. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. MathOwl does not receive or store payment card information.
Notifications
MathOwl may ask permission to send local notifications, such as reminders to practice. Notification permission can be changed at any time in iOS Settings.
Data Sharing
MathOwl does not sell personal data. Some data may be processed by third-party services used by the app, including Apple Game Center, Apple App Store services, and Google AdMob, as described above.
Data Retention
Game progress and preferences stored locally remain on the user’s device unless the user deletes the app or resets related device data. Data handled by Apple or Google is subject to their own privacy policies and retention practices.
Children’s Privacy
MathOwl is designed as an arithmetic practice game. The app does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Advertising and platform services may be handled by third-party providers according to their own policies and applicable laws.
Privacy Choices
Users can manage their privacy choices in the following ways:
- Delete the app to remove locally stored game data from the device.
- Manage tracking permission in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Manage advertising preferences in iOS Settings and Apple Account settings.
- Manage Game Center in iOS Settings > Game Center.
- Manage notification permission in iOS Settings > Notifications > MathOwl.
- Manage purchases and subscriptions, if applicable, through Apple App Store settings.
