What MULTIPLE of 30 can get us close to 70?
I know 3 x 2 = 6, so 30 x 2 = 60!
So I can make 2 groups of 30 with 10 left over!

I know 9 x 6 = 54, so 90 x 6 = 540!
So I can make 6 groups of 90 with 32 left over!
5th Grade doesn't use REMAINDERS. When we are first learning, we write the leftover amount as a fraction. The "remainder" is the numerator and the divisor is the denominator. Once we get to Lesson 25, we will annex a zero to make the remainder a decimal.
