Since I love sharing and talking about music, I’ll use this page to post some of my favorite content and recent discoveries. You’ll always find me happy to chat about it.
Kokoroko is a UK jazz collective, and I had the chance to experience the live release of their album “Tuff Times Never Last.” It has instantly become my favorite jazz album. In this performance, they play several tracks from the record.
The last one is my favorite one. Enjoy!
Marc Rebillet, a.k.a. Loop Daddy, is an insanely talented musician with an amazing discography, even though he never seems to take himself seriously. He became known for performing live from his room in a bathrobe during Covid. He often improvises songs in the street and posts them on YouTube and Instagram, and besides being genuinely good, they’re also really funny. You should definitely check him out.
He usually plays more jazzy, laid-back music, but I really love this one.
FKJ (French Kiwi Juice) is one of my favorite artists. He is known for his smooth blend of electronic, jazz, and groovy rhythms. Yussef Dayes is an incredible British drummer, celebrated for his unique fusion of jazz, afrobeat, and hip-hop rhythms. They collaborated for this mesmerizing live performance, which I found absolutely captivating.
If you're too lazy to watch the whole thing, at least listen from 15:25, it's worth it.
Sophye Soliveau is a captivating French singer, harpist, and composer whose music blends soul, jazz, and R&B. Her unique voice and emotional intensity create an intimate and powerful listening experience. I recently discovered one of her live performances, and it truly moved me.
A short film through which I loved discovering Yussef Dayes' music, featuring stunning Japanese landscapes and beautifully integrated live performances.
I discovered Bada-Bada during a live show in Marseille, and it was without a doubt the most incredible musical experience of my life. This live video captures some of their magic, but if you ever get the chance to see them in person, I can’t recommend it enough. Their energy on stage is absolutely breathtaking.
