Teaching statement
In my teaching at Ghent University, I am involved in several banking and finance courses, including as co-lecturer. In my lectures, I mix exercises with the underlying theory, which allows to highlight alternative angles and focus on the fundamental building blocks. I believe in a very approachable style of teaching with active interactions. For the most advanced courses, group assignments, and master theses, I link the content to the latest research to show students the most recent literature and techniques, and to transfer my passion for academic research.
