Scientific Approaches Towards COVID-19 Pandemic


The word 'pandemic' comes from the Greek 'pandemos'. 'Demos' means the population and 'pan' means everyone. So, 'pandemos' is a concept where the world's population will likely be exposed to the infection and potentially a large proportion of them will fall sick. A pandemic is defined as the "worldwide spread" of a new disease. In 2020, the whole world have faced the Covid-19 pandemic.


The IQAC & the Science Departments (Mathematics & others), Chandidas Mahavidyalaya, jointly organized a National Webinar entitled Scientific Approaches Towards COVID-19 Pandemic on 2nd August, 2020 through google-meet platform to bring together leading academic scientist, research scholars, students to exchange and share their experience on Covid-19 pandemic from all aspects of physical, chemical, biological and mathematical point of view. It also provided a premier interdisciplinary platform for researchers, Practitioners and educators to discuss the most recent innovations, trends and practical challenges adopted to fight against this COVID-19 pandemic in Scientific domain.
