Summer Institute 2019
for Grade 4-6 Teachers in Newfoundland and Labrador
The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development of Newfoundland and Labrador is pleased to announce the Mathematics 4-6 Summer Institute 2019 for teachers in our province.
The Mathematics 4-6 Summer Institute 2019 is an interactive professional learning opportunity for grade four to six mathematics teachers in Newfoundland and Labrador. Instructional practices and strategies for the effective teaching and learning of mathematics in grades four to six will be the focus. Together we will explore how to make mathematics come alive for our students. We will share best practices, and investigate ways to have students apply their knowledge.
There are two institute offerings for Summer 2019:
- August 13-14 will be at the Central Regional Office at 203 Elizabeth Drive, Gander.
- August 15 is an online session. Participation can be from the comfort of your own home. Skype and Google Classroom will be the modality for this institute.
Please note: Applicants may only register for one institute.
