Apps covered: Math Addict on Android (package com.MathAddict) and iPhone / iPad (iOS, bundle ID com.MathAddict)
Overview
Math Addict is a free, timed math game. Core gameplay works offline. High scores and settings stay on your device. We do not require an account to play. To keep the app free, both Android and iOS versions show ads through Google AdMob.
This policy explains what is stored on your device, what advertising partners may process, and how that differs from data we collect ourselves.
Information stored on your device
The app may store locally on your device (Android SharedPreferences / iOS UserDefaults or equivalent):
High scores and longest streaks (including per difficulty and timer)
- Last selected difficulty and timer
- Whether today’s Daily Challenge (resets each day at 9:30 AM Eastern Time (ET)) was already played on that device
- Similar gameplay preferences
This data stays on your device. We do not run a Math Addict account server that receives it. Uninstalling the app removes that local data on that device.
Advertising (Google AdMob) — Android and iPhone
Both the Android and iPhone apps use Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) to show:
Banner ads on the Start and Results screens
- Occasional full-screen interstitial ads (for example after Daily Challenge results, after 5-minute timed results, and periodically on Retry)
Ads do not appear during active play or the countdown.
Google AdMob and its partners may collect and process information such as:
Device or other identifiers (including advertising ID / similar identifiers, subject to your OS settings)
- IP address, which may be used to estimate approximate (coarse) location
- App interactions related to ads (for example launches, taps, and ad views)
- Diagnostic information related to ad delivery and SDK performance
Purposes typically include advertising or marketing, measuring ad performance (analytics), and fraud prevention, security, and compliance.
Google encrypts this data in transit (TLS). Math Addict does not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party ad mediation networks beyond AdMob in the current versions.
For how Google uses data from apps that use its services, see:
Platform notes
Android: Google Play’s Data safety section discloses approximate location, app interactions, diagnostics, and device or other IDs as collected and shared in connection with AdMob. Advertising ID use is declared in Play Console. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in Android settings (wording varies by Android version).
iPhone / iPad: App Store App Privacy labels disclose advertising-related data collected by AdMob. The current build does not request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) / IDFA solely for these standard banner and interstitial formats. You can review Apple and Google advertising / privacy controls in iOS Settings where available.
Optional sharing
If you use Share (for example a score or results card), the system share sheet sends content you choose to an app you select. That transfer is controlled by you and the destination app’s privacy policy. Sharing is optional.
Data we do not collect ourselves
We do not ask inside Math Addict for your name, email, phone, or a Math Addict login for gameplay. We do not collect precise GPS location, contacts, photos, or microphone audio for our own use. We do not run a separate analytics or crash SDK beyond what AdMob may include for ad measurement and diagnostics.
Children
Math Addict is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for our own use beyond what AdMob may process as described above. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us and we will help address it as appropriate.
Your choices
Reset or limit advertising identifiers / ad personalization in your device settings (Android or iOS, as available)
- Review Google’s ad and privacy controls linked above
- Uninstall the app to remove locally stored game data on that device
- Contact us with privacy questions (email below)
We do not currently offer a separate in-app “request deletion” portal for AdMob-processed data; advertising identifier controls and uninstall are the primary device-level options.
Changes
We may update this policy when the apps or our practices change (for example new ad formats, mediation, analytics, or online features). The “Last updated ”date at the top will change when we do. Material changes are also reflected in store disclosures (Google Play Data safety / App Store App Privacy) where required.
