We meet weekly on Thursdays at 1 PM in L5. See the calendar below for the schedule.
Part I: We start each session with a short discussion of recent papers on the arxiv. +/- 15-20 min.
Part II: a talk by one of us about a topic of interest to the group. +/- 40min.
Click on the "Add a paper" button to suggest a paper for the next ArXiv discussion. After filling out the form, your suggestions should appear in the list below. There might be some delay so don't panic and submit your form 1654 times.
Click on the "Suggest a topic" button to suggest a topic for a journal club talk. Leave a comment if you do not want to give this talk yourself but are interested in hearing about it.
Journal club talks should be informal and on the whiteboard. In preparing your talk always keep in mind that the audience most likely does not know what you will talk about. There is no such thing as being too pedagogical. For some tips how to fabricate a good talk, have a look at Suggestions for giving talks . If you're not sure try to present (part of) your talk to peers.

The next journal clubs will take place on the dates below.
To make this club work we need volunteers to give talks! All PhD students and postdocs: send an email to andrea.antinucci@maths.ox.ac.uk or clement.virally@maths.ox.ac.uk indicating on which day you want to give a talk. If you do not yet know what to talk about have a look at the topics above to get inspired.
Thank you!
