Telsone ("we", "us", or "our") built Math Heroes Kids as a free, ad-supported educational application for children. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you or your child uses our app.
Math Heroes Kids is designed for children ages 3-12. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable children's privacy laws worldwide. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what is described below, and all data remains on the device.
All data is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. We do not transmit, upload, or share any user data to any server. The app stores:
First name (optional) - Entered during onboarding and used only to personalize in-app messages (e.g., "Great job, Sarah!").
Game progress - Stars earned, levels completed, and time spent per game.
Preferences - Selected avatar, language, and sound settings.
Custom rewards - Parent-defined reward goals and history.
This data never leaves your device. We have no access to it.
We do not collect:
Email addresses, passwords, or account credentials
Phone numbers or physical addresses
Birthdates or precise age
Photos, videos, or voice recordings
Location data
Device identifiers or advertising IDs
Usage analytics or telemetry
Contact lists or social media accounts
Payment or financial information
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. Our AdMob integration is configured for child-directed treatment in compliance with COPPA:
Ads are restricted to G-rated content only.
Behavioral/personalized advertising is disabled.
The app is tagged for child-directed treatment and under-age-of-consent users.
Google may collect limited device information to serve contextual ads. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
We do not use any analytics, crash reporting, social media, or tracking SDKs. The app makes no network requests other than those made by the AdMob SDK to serve advertisements.
The app uses audio permissions exclusively for:
Text-to-speech - The "Number Hunt" game speaks numbers aloud using your device's built-in speech synthesis. No audio is recorded.
Sound effects and music - The app plays sound effects and background music during gameplay.
We do not record, store, or transmit any audio from your device's microphone.
Parents Gate - Access to the profile and settings area is protected by a simple math quiz that young children cannot easily solve.
Data Deletion - Parents can reset all progress and data at any time via the "Reset Progress" button in the profile screen.
No Online Features - The app has no chat, social features, in-app purchases, or external links accessible to children.
Since all user data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted over the internet, the security of your data depends on your device's own security settings. We recommend using device-level protections such as passcodes or biometric locks.
All data is stored on your device for as long as the app is installed. To delete all data:
Use the Reset Progress option in the profile screen, or
Uninstall the app from your device.
We do not retain any data on our servers because we do not have servers that collect user data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
