A collaborative effort between SANRAL, the University of Pretoria and CSIR was initiated to establish an Integrated Education, National Certification, National Reference and Research Laboratories Facility. The facility also provides for a small reception and auditorium area, with the following phases focusing on the expansion of the laboratory to other Civil Engineering disciplines, as well as related disciplines.

Take the N1 South freeway (towards Johannesburg).

Travel along the R21 freeway and follow the directions to Pretoria until you reach the N1 North freeway (Pretoria–Polokwane).
Travel along the N1 North freeway until you reach the Lynnwood Road off-ramp.
Turn left into Lynnwood Road, passing several sets of traffic lights.
Turn right into Jan Shoba Street (previously Duncan Street).
Turn right into South Street for the Hillcrest Campus (LC de Villiers Sports Grounds) entrance.

Travel along Francis Baard Street (previously Schoeman Street), direction east, until you reach Gordon Road.

Accommodation for attendees is also available at the University of Pretoria, Future Africa Campus. The venue has the following accommodations available and is within walking distance of the conference venue:
1. Twin Rooms are available @ R800.00 for single occupancy and R900.00 for 2 people sharing pn
2. Single rooms (1 double bed) are available @ R970.00 for single occupancy and R1200.00 for 2 people sharing pn.
Note, that these rates are for room only. Breakfast is at an additional charge of R175.00 and Lunch or Dinner is charged at R240.00 per meal.
