To explore the materiality of video, we affirm the physical effects of the camera. Its image flattens the contents of a pyramid. With a canvas of appropriate aspect ratio, we give this image pyramid a bottom and reduplicate its implicit frame. Then we place ourselves in the space between the bottom and the tip of the pyramid and perform our mutual-care practice.

The affirmation of the camera's central perspective, a feature that aligns with ideological effects (Baudry), is an approach we are continuing with our current (May/June) research on human-figure statues, whose materiality we confront affirmatively. What happens to the ideological effects of the apparatus when we affirm and overbend its physical actuality? What emerges in between the bodies of human and apparatus?
