Seminar on Materials Science 2024: Physics and Engineering of Multifunctional Semiconducting Materials

The Materials Science and Renewable Energy Group (MatER) of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru is organizing the Seminar on Materials Science 2024. The meeting, focusing on the Physics and Engineering of Multifunctional Semiconducting Materials, will be the third seminar of the series initiated in 2019. As in previous meetings, renowned experts will be invited to present plenary talks at this third edition, covering advancements in multifunctional semiconducting materials for various applications.

This seminar aims to disseminate the latest advances in the research field of multifunctional semiconducting materials based on ZnO, Al2O3, Ga2O3, SnO2, In2O3, ITO, and AZO, among others. It will cover essential aspects ranging from their synthesis to the fundamental understanding of their optical, thermal, magnetic, electrical, and luminescent properties. Additionally, advancements in characterization techniques and potential applications in optoelectronic devices related to renewable energy, such as solar cells, photodetectors, batteries, organic gas sensors, light-emitting diodes, and biomedical applications will be discussed.

This seminar will include talks from undergraduate and graduate students and professional contributions, providing opportunities for scientists and students to report new results. This event will offer a comprehensive point of view of the current and future challenges in the field of multifunctional semiconducting materials, contributing to the progress of science and technology
