Firstly, when using a word processor don't edit your work. Editing is just one of those things that people who aren't great writers often think they know how to do. Word processors will let you save any changes you make to your work.

Also, when you are editing your work, you need to edit it where the word processor lets you, from its main page, to the bottom of the screen, under the titles and subheadings. All you do is click on the word processor toolbar and you have a list of all the sections you can go through. After you click the section you want to go through, select 'Search' from the drop down menu.

If you have trouble finding the section you need, you can search by your name and see if it has the word you're looking for. This will show you all the sections that mention your name. From there you can choose the section you need to edit the rest.

As you can see, using a word processor is a great way to streamline your writing process and edit it where you want. The next time you're writing an essay, make sure you get your grammar right, spell correctly and punctuate correctly.
