Classes

I am offering two in-person Language Arts classes this spring for students in grades 3–8. Each class includes grammar, writing, and literature study aligned with state standards.
📍 Location: Elk Grove, CA
📅 Meets: Mondays & Wednesdays
🗓️ Dates: January 5th – May 11th, 2026      🚨There are no classes on  March 9th, 11th, 16th, 18th and 23rd.
💲 Tuition: $450 per semester (payable out of pocket or with approved charter funds)

Upper Elementary (Grades 3–5) 9:45- 10:30 AM
Students will build grammar skills, grow from writing complete sentences to full paragraphs, and enjoy rich, literature-based lessons.

Middle School (Grades 6–8) 11:00AM-12:00PM
This class strengthens grammar, narrative, and expository writing skills while exploring meaningful, high-interest novels.

ENG 10 is comprised of four standards-based units that integrate reading, writing, and critical thinking.

Unit 3 – Literary Analysis
Students will read:
• The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
• Anthem by Ayn Rand

Unit 4 – Non-Fiction Texts & Research
Students will read:
• The Omnivore’s Dilemma by Michael Pollan
• Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer
• Spare Parts by Joshua Davis

I offer personalized online tutoring for students of all ages, with a focus on writing improvement and skill-building.

• Detailed writing feedback
• Help identifying and improving trouble areas
• Support across a variety of writing styles and assignments

💻 Live Sessions (via Zoom):
$60 per 60-minute session

📬 Asynchronous Proofreading & Feedback:
$30 per session – Submit your writing and receive personalized comments, suggestions, and edits within 48 hours.
