Who we are
Massachusetts Cultural and Academic Partnerships (MCAP) is a professional network that brings together cultural institutions' internship programs and higher education institutions. Our mission is to foster community, tackle shared challenges, exchange knowledge, and create meaningful opportunities for students.
As a collaborative forum, MCAP empowers participants to enhance their programs by co-developing innovative solutions. Through events, networking, and shared initiatives, we strengthen the connection between academia and cultural institutions while fostering an inclusive and engaged community.
We meet quarterly, with one in-person meeting each year. Our leadership consists of two co-chairs, supported by four dedicated committees. Together we host two signature events each year: a virtual event in the fall and an in-person gathering in the spring.
We welcome professionals who share our commitment to collaboration and innovation. Whether you're part of a museum, college, or university—or simply passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for students—we invite you to connect with us and be part of our growing community.
