Team Scoring - Rules

These are the Omega scoring practices for the 2020-21 season and beyond:

1) Each Thursday, a school will compete against 1 or 2 other schools in the league.

2) The first six skiers for each team will be denoted as "varsity" racers and are eligible for team scoring.

3) If a skier finishes first in their 12-skier matchup (one six person team vs. another six person team), they are awarded 14 points.

4) If a skier finishes in second place, they are given 12 points, 3rd place 11 points, and so on down to 12th place, which gets 2 points.

5) If a skier falls, they receive zero points.

6) The points are tallied and the team with the highest number of points wins.

4) If a skier finishes in second place, they are awarded 99 points, 3rd place 98, and so on down to 54th place, which gets 47 points.
