1st Week of Masques/Introduction

During the first week of masques you will be introduced to all of officers, crew, the tools, construction, advisors, the basement, paint closet.

  • You will take INVENTORY of all of the supplies to figure out what we need and have

  • The Crew Chief will start planning the set

  • Crew members will practice drilling and practice using tools

  • Crew will start bringing up wood from the basement

A typical rehearsal

A typical rehearsal is from 2:45-5:00 (could go more or less depending on what we are doing)

  • Briefing in paint closet of what we are doing

  • Crews will construct or plan

  • Split people up to continue working efficiently

  • Clean up process is easy, simply put things back to where you found them

There isn't really a concrete specific schedule that we have, it all depends on what we started and where we left off and what we need to do each day

During Our Tech Week

Tech week is when all our final touches are being done on the set. This week is when everything should be 100% done.

  • Risers are done and painted BLACK

  • The sides of the risers are complete

  • All set is done

  • All paint is done

  • Crews know what their jobs are per stage manager

Crew follows the crew chief but during this week the stage manager will utilize the crew to help get things prepared for the show

During Our Show Week

Our show week is pretty relaxed, it is ONLY relaxed if we work super hard during Tech Week and get things done

  • Stage manager utilizes crew to help move props and other set pieces

  • Crew is used by stage manager to help prepare for each show

  • EVERYONE WEARS BLACK

  • Crew us used by concessions, ticket sales, props, etc. to help set up and take down each show day

Crew is done with building and are basically used as manpower to help other departments

Set Strike

Set strike is the Monday or the day or so after the show where we literally take down everything and make it like we didn't even do anything. All day we de construct the set and take down the risers. Usually older members get signed out for the whole day to de construct. We put everything back into the basement and the paint closet or the garbage depending on if its salvageable or not.

We also get to sign books and celebrate a successful show at the end.
