Here are things you can do if you ever wanted to visit the city:
Market Square
The Old Town of Warsaw is a beautifully reconstructed piece of Polish history. After being deliberately destroyed during World War II, the town was meticulously rebuilt and is now a thriving center of history. Visit the Royal Castle and Route, and see many other colorful sights along the way. English walking tours can be found for a "pay what you wish" basis. (150 mins)
Vistula River
Taking a ride along the Vistula, Poland's largest river, is a great way to experience the city. You can see statues and landmarks along the river while relaxing in a boat. Gondola tours are available for $28.15 per person. (55 mins)
Outside of the Centre
The Copernicus Science Centre is a science museum along the previously mentioned Vistula River; it enables visitors to carry out experiments and discover the laws of science for themselves. Containing over 400 interactive exhibits, the six sections of the Centre draws interest to people of all ages. Tickets cost $13.42 per person. (60 mins)
Gwoździec Synagogue Ceiling
The POLIN Museum of the History of the Polish Jews, located on the former Warsaw Ghetto, is focused on Jewish people in Poland. See over 1,000 years of history spanning from the middle ages to the present, learning about Jewish culture, heritage and communities. Tickets for the museum are available for $12.60 per person. Palace on the Isle
This park, farther south in the city, Is the largest of Warsaw's parks. With many trees and statues, it is a great area to spend time in. It contains many historic buildings, and hosts free piano concerts during summer. (any amount of time)
B-24 Liberator inside the museum
This museum explores the brave history of the Warsaw Uprising and the Polish Resistance during World War II. It has two main sections, one dedicated to the days before the uprising and one dedicated to Allied airdrops. Tickets cost $9.81. (150 mins)
Western Façade
The Royal Castle, located in the Old Town, is a national historical monument of Poland. It formerly served as the residence of several Polish monarchs and other government positions. Destroyed in 1944 after the Warsaw Uprising, it was rebuilt in the 1970s and 80s along with the rest of the Old Town, and is now the second-most visited art museum in Poland. Tickets can be found for $7-12 depending on the attraction. (120 mins)
Outside of the Museum Headquarters
The Museum of Warsaw is located on the northwest side of Market Square. Like the rest of the Old Town, this museum was destroyed during World War II and rebuilt after. It shows city-related exhibits, with "The Things of Warsaw" being the main one, and it has an over 250,000-object collection. Tickets to the museum cost $9.80/person. (120 mins)
