Makira Natural Park Tour

Makira Natural Park is most famous for its Silky Sifaka population. Makira is a very large protected area. This region is difficult to access and is recommended for fit adventure travelers. Due to its remoteness, the wildlife opportunities are unique and rewarding. Most of the species found in Masoala National Park can also be found in Makira Natural Park.

To get to Makira Natural Park, a five-hour boat trip passing many remote villages and rice patty fields is required. Next, there is a two- to three-hour trek to the bungalow at the campsite.
