Judy and Carolina Visscher, a mother and daughter team, started “Masks Made with Love” when the local hospital put out a plea for homemade masks in anticipation of COVID-19 cases. They dug through their stash of Dutch costume fabrics left over from previous Holland Tulip Festivals and tried out a few mask patterns. One thing led to another, and before long they had a good mask design, sources of fun fabric and lots of people asking for masks! The new guidelines issued by the federal government asking everyone to wear isolation masks out in public sealed the deal --- and they were off and running!
We are having fun helping “spread love, not COVID” during this unique situation we all find ourselves in---and hope you enjoy your “made with love” mask!
Special thanks to our Chief Medical Advisor, Kate Visscher-Hubbert, for her expertise and guidance in sourcing our CDC hand-made mask pattern used to sew each #MaskMadeWithLove.
