Users can request deletion of their MaskedFace account and related data by contacting us at:

Please include the email address used in your MaskedFace account. After receiving a valid deletion request, we will delete or anonymize account-related data unless retention is required for legal, security, fraud prevention, or legitimate business reasons.

This Privacy Policy explains how MaskedFace collects, uses, stores, and protects user information. MaskedFace is published under the Android package name com.secretbox.secretbox.
By using MaskedFace, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
MaskedFace may collect the following types of information:
- Account information, such as user ID, email authentication information, display name, gender selection, country and city selection.
- Profile information, such as profile photo, avatar, bio, username, and app preferences.
- Messaging information, such as chat messages, friend messages, images sent in chat, timestamps, seen status, friend requests, pokes, and related interaction data.
- Voice call related data, such as call status, call connection information, participant IDs, and call timing information.
- Purchase information, such as Google Play purchase tokens, product IDs, subscription status, Plus membership status, and in-app balance such as Gold.
- Device and usage information, such as app activity, crash logs, analytics events, advertising identifiers where applicable, and technical diagnostics.
2. Camera, Microphone, and Media Permissions
MaskedFace may request access to your camera, microphone, and media files.
Camera access is used for features such as taking or uploading profile photos, stories, or chat images.
Microphone access is used for voice call features.
Media access may be used to select and upload images from your device.
MaskedFace does not access your camera, microphone, or media files unless you choose to use features that require these permissions.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Create and manage user accounts.
- Provide matching, messaging, voice call, profile, friend, poke, and story features.
- Display avatars, masks, profile photos, and user-related interface elements.
- Process in-app purchases and Plus membership through Google Play Billing.
- Show or remove advertisements depending on membership status.
- Improve app stability, security, and performance.
- Prevent abuse, fraud, spam, and unauthorized access.
- Provide user support and troubleshoot technical issues.
4. Firebase and Third-Party Services
MaskedFace uses third-party services to operate the app, including:
- Firebase Authentication
- Firebase Firestore
- Firebase Realtime Database
- Firebase Storage
- Firebase Analytics
- Firebase Cloud Messaging
- Google AdMob
- Google Play Billing
- Google ML Kit
These services may process data according to their own privacy policies and security practices.
5. Advertising
MaskedFace may show ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use device information, advertising identifiers, and usage data to provide and measure ads.
Plus members may receive an ad-free experience depending on their membership status.
6. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
MaskedFace uses Google Play Billing for in-app purchases and subscriptions. Purchase processing is handled by Google Play. MaskedFace may store purchase-related information such as product ID, purchase token, subscription status, and membership expiration date in order to provide purchased features.
7. Data Storage and Security
User data may be stored using Firebase services. We use reasonable security measures and access rules to protect user data from unauthorized access, alteration, or deletion.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure.
8. Data Sharing
MaskedFace does not sell personal information.
We may share limited data only when necessary to:
- Provide app features.
- Process purchases.
- Operate analytics, ads, and crash reporting.
- Comply with legal obligations.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, or security issues.
9. User Content
Users are responsible for the content they upload or send through MaskedFace, including profile photos, chat images, messages, and other interactions.
Users must not upload illegal, harmful, abusive, or unauthorized content.
10. Data Retention
We retain user data for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms.
Some data may be deleted automatically after a limited period, depending on the feature.

MaskedFace is not intended for children under the minimum age required by applicable law. Users must meet the required age to use the app.
