We accept donations of masks to redistribute into the community. If you have masks you would like to donate to us-- reach out to us via email and we can coordinate a contactless pick-up.
Quantity: There is no minimum amount you need to donate-- we will gladly accept anything you have and are willing to share. We do ask that if you plan to make a large donation to reach out to us first so we can ensure we have the space to store the masks while we work on distributing them.
Vetting: We will do our best to vet masks that are received via donations to ensure they are quality and not counterfeit.
3M Aura Counterfeits: Please do not purchase any 3M Aura masks on Amazon. These masks are frequently counterfeit on Amazon as there are multiple vendors supplying them (some legit and some not) via Amazon and the source could be switched mid order so your shipment will arrive quicker. It's much too big of a gamble-- so please do not buy 3M Auras on Amazon.
KN95 Counterfeits: Another source of frequent counterfeits are KN95 style masks. KN95s should have the manufacturer name and GB# printed on the mask somewhere. We also look them up in the Armbrust database to ensure they are a quality mask. Sometimes KN95s are extremely poor quality and do next to nothing to help protect you.
Counterfeits: If we determine the mask is not safe to distribute, they will be set aside and used for art materials for future projects. If you are an artist needing supplies-- reach out to us!
Vented Mask: We do not accept masks with a vent. With vented masks, the wearer's air is breathed out of the vent and exposes everyone around them.
