MOHAMMAD ASIF KHAN
Welcome to my website!
I'm Asif Khan, a postdoctoral researcher in economics currently working at the J.E. Cairnes School of Business and Economics, University of Galway, Ireland.
I hold a Ph.D. in Environmental Economics from the University of the Basque Country, Spain. My PhD thesis, titled "Economic Evaluation of Air Pollution in India," focuses on quantifying individuals' preferences for improving air quality in India. My research broadly focuses on environmental economics and non-market valuation, with particular interests in discrete choice experiments. I primarily use stated preference survey to collect choice data, which examine individuals’ willingness to pay for changes in environmental goods and services.
Research Interests
Environmental economics: Non-market valuation. Discrete choice experiments. Contingent valuation methods.
