Virtual Kick-off Event
A virtual kick-off meeting will be held on Friday, February 21st at 12:00 pm
This short session will outline what to expect during meetings, provide tips for communicating with legislators, and make available information to help you navigate around the capitol.
Tuesday, February 25th:
MASE Day at the Capitol
8:00 - 9:00 Informal Coffee Chat (Governor's Dining Room in the basement of the Capitol Building): Join us in the Governor's Dining Room for a morning connection with MASE colleagues before the day gets started!
Enter in the front of the Capitol building and take the elevator down 2 floors to the basement.
Walk straight out of the elevators and watch for signs.
The Dining Room is just North of the "Vault Room".
Here, you can pick up a printed copy of the platform, ask any last-minute questions, and prep for your meetings.
You can leave your coats and other belongings there for the day. The room will be monitored to ensure the security of your items.
CANCELLED - The Senate Education Finance Committee Hearing is no longer being held.
9:00 - 4:00 Meet with Legislators: Individuals and small groups will hold meetings with legislators throughout the day, as scheduled.
Lunch: Make a plan on your own for lunch. You can stay at the capitol complex (bring your own or grab something from the Rathskeller Cafeteria). Feel free to eat in the Governor's Dining Room (seats about 18). If you prefer to eat elsewhere and explore the city, there are some great local restaurants too!
Wrap-up & Head Home: While there is no formal wrap-up meeting at the end of the day, consider using time after your last scheduled meeting to reflect, get organized, and make a plan for follow-up with your legislators.
See the Preparing Page for details.
