Short version: MAS Data Finder has no account, no server and no analytics. We do not collect, store, sell or transmit your personal data. Everything the extension saves stays inside your own browser, on your own computer.
What the extension does
MAS Data Finder helps you collect publicly displayed business information ("leads") from Google Maps search results and from the websites of the businesses listed there - for example a business's name, address, phone number, email address, WhatsApp or Zalo link, social links, rating and review count - and export it as a spreadsheet (Excel or CSV).
Data stored on your device
- The leads you collect are stored in your browser's local database (IndexedDB).
- Your settings, campaign queue, suggestion history and lead history are stored in your browser's local extension storage.
- This data never leaves your device except in the spreadsheet files you choose to download. Uninstalling the extension deletes it.
Network requests the extension makes
Only when you start a search, and only to carry out that search:
- Google Maps - to run the search you typed and read its results.
- Businesses' own websites - to read the contact details those businesses publicly display on their own pages.
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim (nominatim.openstreetmap.org) - to resolve the location name you typed into map coordinates.
- Cloudflare DNS-over-HTTPS (cloudflare-dns.com) - only if you switch on the optional email-verification setting, to check that an email address's domain can receive mail.
No request is ever made to a server operated by the developer, and no browsing history, lead data or usage data is sent anywhere.
Business information
The business contact details the extension displays are information that the businesses themselves publish publicly on Google Maps and on their own websites. You are responsible for using collected information in line with the laws and platform rules that apply to you.
Tracking and third parties
The extension contains no advertising, no analytics and no tracking code, and it does not share data with third parties because it never receives your data in the first place.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this same address with an updated date.
