Masahisa Watanabe is a tenure-track assistant professor of agricultural engineering at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. He previously worked at Hitachi Research Laboratory as a researcher. He got his Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Bio-Applications and Systems Engineering, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Tokyo, Japan. His work focuses on nonlinear dynamics in off-road mobility, i.e., agricultural vehicles and all-terrain vehicles, and their intelligent controls based on chaos theory and advanced machine learning techniques. Future focus can be soil-plant-machine nonlinear dynamics.
Research interests: Smart agriculture, Vehicle dynamics, Nonlinear dynamics, Chaos.
