I've always been intrigued with the process of deciphering complex situations, which lead me to start to pursue the engineering field. My older brother inspired me to pursue this field in engineering since he's been working in the engineering field in Air Force intelligence for two years. Over the span of those two years he would tell me about his job which caused me to admire the field of engineering.
This year I'm a senior class of 2026 at Leonardtown High School and am enrolled in Dr. James A. Forrest Career and Technology Center. At Leonardtown High School I've taken Algebra 1-2, Hon Biology, Pre Calculous, Physics, Ap Seminar, and I'm currently taking calculous and AP Lang to help me with my goal of becoming an engineer. These classes have given me problem solving skills which can be crucial in the engineering field.
At Leonardtown I have been in a few clubs. The clubs I've been involved in are weightlifting club and walking club and outside of school I babysit. These activities have taught me many lessons like responsibility, perseverance, and obedience. Along with those skills I've also developed leadership tendencies while taking care of the little ones.
After graduating high school, my goal is to attend the college of Purdue University in the engineering program. Though that is my goal, plans could change. I'm planning on applying for the S.M.A.R.T scholarship program which is the U.S Department of Defense initiative that provides students in STEM fields with full scholarships and a job placement after graduation. The program is designed to support and develop future talent for the defense workforce.
Following graduation I intend to continue to pursue the engineering field. In this field my goal is to help and support people and the environment as best as I can. If my career is successful in the position ill be in, I will have a positive impact on the world to the best of my ability.
