VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AND DESCRIPTIONS

Band Meal Servers

• Help set up meal

• Serve meal

• After meal clean-up

Chaperones

• Check students in on your bus as they load, both ways

• Make sure boys and girls aren’t sitting together

• Complete a final head count for bus driver (both directions); inform band director if students not all present before departing

• Sign bus driver report

Concession Stand

• Manage assigned register with cash and/or credit card sales

• Prepare food and drinks as needed

• Clean up and stock shelves at the end of the night

Pit Crew 

• Load and unload trailers 

• Move instruments and props around 

• Help move instruments and props on and off the field during show

Trailer Drivers

• Pull trailers to and from events

• Enclosed trailers are recommended to be pulled with a ¾ ton truck and open trailers are recommended to be pulled with a ½ ton truck

Uniform Check In Post Game

• Check garment bags to ensure uniforms are stored correctly.

Uniform Helper Pre Game and At Contest

• Assist the uniform coordinator with any uniform needs, such as, pinning field commanders, alterations, missing pieces, size issues, or gloves

Band Camp 

• Volunteers are needed to assist with serving lunch and other requests throughout the week.  Band camp meals include one snack served around 10:00am in the band room and lunch served at noon daily.
