VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AND DESCRIPTIONS
Band Meal Servers
Help set up meal
Serve meal
After meal clean-up
Chaperones
Check students in on your bus as they load, both ways
Make sure boys and girls aren’t sitting together
Complete a final head count for bus driver (both directions); inform band director if students not all present before departing
Sign bus driver report
Concession Stand
Manage assigned register with cash and/or credit card sales
Prepare food and drinks as needed
Clean up and stock shelves at the end of the night
Pit Crew
Load and unload trailers
Move instruments and props around
Help move instruments and props on and off the field during show
Trailer Drivers
Pull trailers to and from events
Enclosed trailers are recommended to be pulled with a ¾ ton truck and open trailers are recommended to be pulled with a ½ ton truck
Uniform Check In Post Game
Check garment bags to ensure uniforms are stored correctly.
Uniform Helper Pre Game and At Contest
Assist the uniform coordinator with any uniform needs, such as, pinning field commanders, alterations, missing pieces, size issues, or gloves
Band Camp
Volunteers are needed to assist with serving lunch and other requests throughout the week. Band camp meals include one snack served around 10:00am in the band room and lunch served at noon daily.
