Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowship
As of April 2026, I have begun a Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowship at the University of Bath. I am working there with Prof Lorraine Whitmarsh MBE on the topic of elite influencers and climate action. This project will involve a mixed-methods approach to conceptualising and quantifying influenced emissions and their implications for climate policy and climate action outcomes. Please get in touch if you are interested in this topic or would like to collaborate.
Horizon Europe Project CAPABLE
I previously worked as a researcher on the Horizon Europe Project CAPABLE, a collaborative project of 11 institutions across Europe. The project's objective was to produce methodological and empirical advances in climate policy evaluation by combining insights from different disciplines. I specifically contributed to the project's investigation of political and social dynamics underpinning public acceptability of environmental policy. This project has produced several papers and datasets, many of which have already been published. Others remain in progress.
Ongoing CAPABLE projects:
Do super emitters (de)motivate climate support? (with Julien Picard and Théodore Tallent)
Elite cues and climate policy support (with Silvia Pianta and António Valentim)
Measuring Members' of European Parliament perceptions of public opinion on climate change mitigation policies (with Silvia Pianta)
Systematic literature review of determinants of climate policy support (with CAPABLE consortium)
A comparison of methods to detect climate change position in political discourse (with Silvia Pianta, Carlos Rodriguez Pardo, Jared Finnegan, and Fergus Green)
Examining how political platforms on climate change translate to political outcomes (with Giorgio Musto, Silvia Pianta, and Nicolas Schmid)
More 'nascent' projects:
Analysis of climate change focus in EU and UK political advertisements on social media with members of the Centre for Climate Communication and Data Science
