Biography

I am a PhD student majoring Computer Science working in Advanced Wireless and Security (ADWISE) Lab and Cyber-Physical Systems Security (CSL) Lab at Florida International University (FIU) since 2021. 

I received my B.S degree from Computer Engineering at FIU in 2019. Originally from Ukraine, I was awarded a full athletic scholarship by FIU Athletic for competing for FIU Tennis Team to pursue my academic goals. During the BSc, I was on the Dean's List in 2015, 2017, and 2019 and on C-USA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll from 2015 to 2019, before graduating with Cum Laude Honor Award. As a student-athlete, I was selected to be a representative on Student Athlete Leadership Council (SALC) and hold a position on its board in 2018-2019. 

After completing my degree, I worked as a full stack mobile developer at General Motors. There, I was a part of multidisciplinary Agile Scrum Team developing new features for myBrand mobile application, improving code quality and security, and designing custom UI/UX and backend components in ReactNative and Objective-C languages.

In 2021, I returned to FIU to pursue PhD in Computer Science. My main focus of the research resides with the application of machine/deep learning applications in digital forensics. At the same time, I am involved in the interdisciplinary research on drone security and network communications. In addition to the research, I taught Circuit Analysis Lab and mentor undergraduate students as a part of Research Experience for Undergraduate (REU) program funded by National Science Foundation (NSF). In 2023, I received RSA Conference (RSAC) Security Scholar award and presented my research to the cybersecurity experts from academia and industry.

Apart of the academics and research, I still have passion for tennis and currently serve as the FIU Tennis assistant coach. Moreover, I am constantly exploring new opportunities for personal growth and always open to new challenges.
