2020
MDAD and PCRID continue their commitment for a sign language interpreter licenture bill in the state of Maryland.

2019
MDAD President Richard Jeffries and PCRID President Traci Ison continue to carry to torch and support for this licensure bill.
February 8, 2019 bill was introduced and assigned as HB-1064 by primary sponsor, Delegate Pamela Queen. Bill was withdrawn as did not go to a hearing.
2017
MDAD President Meredith DeSomma and PCRID President Gina D'Amore confirmed both organizations commitment to pursue the sign language interpreter bill in state of Maryland.
2015
Workgroup suspended the activity due uncertainty of future interpreting certifications due to Registry of Interpreter for the Deaf (RID)'s abrupt moratorium on their nationwide certification programs.
2013
Established workgroup to collect communities inputs and concerns.
Started the draft of interpreter licensure bill
