MaryKate is always a leader. In seventh grade, she was on the student council. In eighth grade, she was apart of NJHS and her church's middle school leadership team. In ninth grade, she was in her church's high school leadership team. She is also apart of How To Life Movement which is a student led church service. She has also been an assistant instructor for many Taekwondo classes when she was a black belt. At Regis Jesuit, MaryKate is the leader of two clubs, Improv and Rabble TV. She is also apart of Cornerstone Leadership, a selective group at her school which plans and leads events at the school.
MaryKate has been apart of Girl Scouts since kindergarten. She has partaken in many volunteering opportunities including making bags for first responders to give to children. This particular project earned her her silver award. She has also received an award for being one of the top sellers in Colorado. MaryKate also has led many patch earning activities for younger scouts including father daughter dances, daughter mother teas, programming, and more. As of right now, MaryKate is starting to work on her gold award project.
MaryKate Berg has played bass at Midpoint Student Ministry (2018-2020), Highpoint Student Ministry (2019-2020), Mountianview Christian Chruch (2020-Present), Valley View Christian Church (2021-Present), and City Student Ministry (2021-Present). She has also directed tech at all of those churches.
MaryKate is a huge advocate for raising awareness and stopping and reversing climate change. She is apart of Earth Guardians Denver and her school's environmental club. She has even done a whole science project to raise awareness at her school for how much trash they waste.
MaryKate is huge on volunteering. She has done it since she was very young. MaryKate has volunteered at Virginia Court Elementary School building furniture, at Cherry Hills Community Church helping put on their Christmas light show, helping hand out food with SeCore Cares, giving out used closed with Blessed To Be Dressed, canned good drives with NJHS, and more.
