Dr. Hélène Bertrand is a family physician who, while injecting mannitol around painful nerves, found that the pain disappeared before the needle was even out of the skin. Knowing that people dislike needles, she got together with Marylene Kyriazis, Pharm.D., and they created QR CREAM™.
QR CREAM™
A unique topical pain reliever, QR CREAM™'s active ingredient is mannitol, a natural sugar derivative that has been shown to prevent nerves from sending pain signals to the brain. It relieves pain from shingles and itching from psoriasis as well as insect bites and stings, and pain caused by arthritis and headaches. Currently, QR CREAM™ is being tested in a randomized controlled study on people with peripheral neuropathy (burning feet) from diabetes.
