Photoshop Sandwich Project

This was our very first project in Digital Media. The goal was to learn how to use layers and adapt to the layout of Adobe Photoshop.

B&W Photo Project

In this assignment we had to bring color back to a black and white image using the selection tools in Adobe Photoshop.

Magazine Cover Project

To test our skills, we were assigned the task of designing a believable magazine cover of our choice. I chose the cover of Vogue to test out some of my classmates modeling skills.

Who Are You Desktop Project

In this project, we had to create our dream desktop layout using Adobe Photoshop.

Final Exam Project

For our final exam project, we were asked to design a flyer for the schools upcoming Spirit Week. This demonstrated our understanding of advertisement and visual appeal. I must say, this was the most enjoyable final exam I've ever taken.

Unity Exercise

This assignment included finding an inspirational quote about design and drawing shapes to create a uniform background. This practice helped us visualize how each component works together in a design.

Photoshop Composites Project

This assignment challenged us to find a photograph of a person of our choosing and add our own flare to the image to create a composite.

Warhol Project

Here we had to take a photo and turn ourselves into our very own pop art creation.

Design Your Name Exercise

In this assignment we had to choose ten different typefaces and adjectives that describe our personality.

Illustrator Snail Project

This project was meant to test our newly learned skills on Adobe Illustrator, and boy it sure did. Instead of the typical cartoon design, I decided to go for a realistic looking snail.

Photo Letters Project

In this project we had to find images that represent who we are and display them as the letters of our name. This was a fun way to learn about using layer masks and your fellow classmates.

Poster Design Project

The first project of the global quarantine, we were asked to design a poster that spreads awareness about the Corona Virus Disease.

InDesign Restaurant Menu Project

In this project we learned about the tools and layout of Adobe InDesign by recreating a restaurant of our choices menu.

Book Cover Design Project

In this project we had to redesign an existing book cover choosing an image that best communicates the books contents.

Personal Logo Design Project

For this project we had to design three different personal logos that represent who we are.

Mobile Device Security:

Tips Guide

October is National Cybersecurity Month. This week we will focus on creating awareness for keeping our mobile devices secure by creating a Mobile Device Security Tips Guide. This guide can be in the form of a video, animation, or infographic. The goal of the guide is to educate other students on how to keep their mobile devices secure.

Christmas Card for a Veteran

Create and design a Christmas card to send out to service members for the holidays from the school.

Academy Project: CASA Beliefs Poster

We have been asked to design a 16" x 20" poster to display around our school. The purpose of the poster is to display our school Vision, Mission, and Beliefs. The poster text and school logo were provided. The challenge was to think about limiting ink usage while creating our design.

Images included above display the progression of mastery using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign in courses DME-110 and DME-115.
