Local Governance

City Council Member for 12 years, where I supported small business growth and championed initiatives including:

• Played a crucial role in local government, representing the interests of my constituents and making decisions that affect the community's well-being. 

• Debated, and voted on ordinances, resolutions, and policies. 

• Acted as a liaison between residents, businesses, and city government, addressing concerns, and advocating for their needs and interests.

Small business owner 

• Owned my own small business in Taylors Falls, where I learned the importance of financial management, customer service, and community engagement.

• Built relationships with other businesses, industry organizations, and community stakeholders that helped me gain a better perspective for small business owners.

Mentorship/Volunteerism

• Played a vital role as a Girl Scout Leader for 8 years where I guided and mentored young girls as they developed important life skills and values. This allowed me to empower young girls to become confident, capable leaders in their communities.

• Worked in the Counselor's Office at Chisago Lakes High School, providing support to teenagers dealing with academic performance issues, family trauma, and abuse. 

• Advocate and activist for the treatment and recovery community by participating in various fund raising events that raised money for patient aid at Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation.
