About Me

Interior Designer

Adjunct Assistant Professor of Interior Design

Design Studio at SCCC

Upon completing my MBA, I realized that working in the business field was not as satisfying as I had hoped. I found myself back in the classroom, to pursue a career that appealed to my creative side, receiving a degree in Interior Design from Suffolk County Community College . After graduating, I started Room Service Interior Design, in addition to working in a successful kitchen shop. Today I enjoy a fulfilling career as an Interior Designer and a teacher of Interior Design.

At the start of teaching at SCCC, I immediately discovered I was immersed in the best of both worlds, Teaching and Design. Ten years later I still enjoy being in the classroom and having the opportunity sharing my passion for design. Mentoring students , to achieve their goals, is energizing and rewarding beyond any other professional experience.

Learning is ongoing and I instill that in my students. The design field is forever changing, trends come and go and our product market expands. I stay current for my students and clients by continued professional development through memberships to trade organizations and attending product trainings and seminars.
