A Family Tradition....

We were not always called MARTLUND CEMETERY. Back when we first started, our annual Halloween event was called Hilltop House of Horrors. This was located in Meriden, Connecticut and run By Brett Marturano. I joined the family tradition that year, back in 1995. I was pretty young back then. My cousin Brett showed me the ropes and instilled a passion for Halloween that is still strong to this day.

After many successful years in Meriden, CT we took a break for several years. I decided to take up the reins and revitalize our family tradition in 2008. With help from Brett and the rest of the family, we re-branded as MARTLUND CEMETERY, which is a play off of Brett's last name "Marturano" and mine, "Lund". We started this new Halloween event in Berlin Connecticut. We had a good run in Berlin for several years before I moved away.

We have now had a few great years in Windsor Locks. We did have some bad luck with Weather in 2019 and COVID-19 in 2020 has prevented us from putting on the show we would have hoped for. When COVID is behind us we plan to come back with a vengeance!

We are not a big box Halloween attraction. We focus on quality over quantity. We have professional sound and lighting, animatronics, pneumatics, live actors and more. Best of all, we have a huge family that is extremely passionate about what we do. We put a ton of effort, time and money into our haunt. The best part of doing this is the reactions and backing from our community.
